I saw some very amazing displays. I saw some very incredible artwork. I met some absolutely awesome people. I wouldn't trade Dragon*Con 2009 for anything.
Now my focus shifts. I will be at SheVaCon 2010 in February. It's time to put what I learned into practice and bust my bottom to make sure I improve my art, improve my display and have a great presentation for the panel. I've started working on some of it, plotting out how I'm going to do it and what exactly I want to show people. I find myself wanting to help other people unlock the imagination crawling just under their fingertips. With today's technology, 'I can't draw' just doesn't cut it anymore. A body doesn't have to be able to put pen to paper and make something. There are tools out there to set imagination to flight. I want to help others achieve that.
And I want to do book cover art.
I have a lot to learn myself so now it's back at it. The whole 'back to the drawing board' or for me rather, 'back to the computer'.
Thank you to everyone who supported me, who encouraged me, and who gave me the inspiration I needed to take the risk and put myself out there at Dragon*Con. You know who you are.
